Dear Prospective Bass Club Member,
Thank you for expressing interest in joining the Centennial Bass Club of Northern Colorado.
The mission of Centennial Bass Club is to get people who are interested in the sport of bass fishing together for fun fishing. In the winter months, this means monthly meetings that are held on the first Thursday of every month at Scheel's in Loveland. In the spring, summer, and fall months we meet after the mini tournaments, which are held at various local lakes. The annual membership fee is $57.00, and you must be a paid member of B.A.S.S. ($20.00/yr is in addition to the $57.00). This is a great opportunity for the avid angler or the beginning bass fisherman to become more involved in the sport, and to learn from others who know local waters.
The mini tournaments begin in April and we meet at the main boat ramp of the lake being fished. Between 4:30 - 5:00 pm we draw for partners. The entry fee is $20.00 and you can sign up as a boater (with proof of boat insurance) or as a non-boater (who contributes $15 for boat and gas expenses). We fish from 5:30pm to about 9:00 pm. Winners are announced after all cards are tabulated. Four times throughout the season we have weekend tournaments for those who wish to travel to places outside the state. Weekend tournaments have a $70.00 entry fee and $25.00 per day is given to the boater for expenses.
We practice Catch & Release and measure the bass with a Golden Rule Board, which the boaters carry on board. Cash and other prizes are awarded, and there is also a payout for the biggest bass of the tournament.
If you're ready to meet new people who enjoy bass fishing as much as you, join us! Come learn new techniques and effective methods from members who are more than willing to share their knowledge about bass fishing. Please, if you have any further questions feel free to contact us.
Good luck and good fishing!
